Prints are mounted using Daler Mountboard with a protective backing of greyboard. The 3 colours shown above are fairly neutral to match most decors, but I do have other colours available. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

In five or so turbulent miles, the River Shin connects Loch Shin at Lairg to the coast at the Kyle of Sutherland near Bonar Bridge. For much of its short length the river flows through a wooded gorge, the highlight of which is the Falls of Shin. Here there are forest walks, children’s activities, a visitor’s centre, and a viewing platform from which Atlantic salmon can be watched as they attempt to leap the falls. Their determination to succeed is testimony both to the power of the fish and to the strength of the olfactory memory of the freshwater shallows where they were spawned several years before. Such early influences have a profound effect on future directions in life - and not just for salmon. Parents and teachers have an awesome responsibility and privilege as they impart moral direction to the next generation.
